Last updated: 1 August 2026. This policy explains what data MobileCodes collects when you use this website, why we collect it and what choices you have.

Information we collect

We do not require an account to browse codes, run diagnostics or use the chat assistant, and we do not ask for your name, address or phone number. Standard server logs record the request path, timestamp, approximate region and user agent, which we use to keep the service running and to detect abuse.

Your chat history is stored in your own browser using local storage. It stays on your device, you can delete any conversation from the sidebar at any time, and clearing your browser data removes it permanently.

AI processing

When you ask a question the assistant cannot answer from our verified code database, the text of your message and the recent conversation context are sent to our third-party language-model provider to generate a reply. Do not include personal or sensitive information in chat messages. Verified code lookups are answered directly from our database and are not sent to any AI provider.

IMEI data

The IMEI checker validates a number using the Luhn checksum. We do not store submitted IMEI numbers, do not associate them with you, and do not query any carrier, insurance or blacklist register.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use essential storage to remember your theme preference and local chat history. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate page usage.

This site may display advertising in future. Advertising partners, including Google AdSense if enabled, may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads. You can opt out of personalised Google advertising through Google Ads Settings, and manage cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the infrastructure, database and AI providers required to operate the site, and only to the extent needed to deliver the service. Server logs are retained for a limited period and then discarded.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or erase personal data we hold, or to object to processing. Because we hold almost no identifiable data, most requests are satisfied by clearing your browser storage — but you can always contact us via the contact page.

Children

MobileCodes is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
